Thursday, December 17, was Dave's 28th birthday. I took the day off to celebrate and go to Disneyland! I asked him what he wanted for breakfast and he told me a Carl's Jr breakfast burrito--this was my version. Turkey bacon, eggs, and tatertots. It earned a passing grade.
After we all shared breakfast together, including the dog, we opened presents. Reese and the bunnies got Dave a gift card to Ruby's and See Molasses chips! His present from me has to wait til San Diego :)
We headed to Disneyland, picked up his "fun card" with $72 of Disneycash to spend, and got our celebrating pins!
We started in California Adventure and drew Minnie Mouse in the Anamination Academy (by far, my favorite part of CA Adventure!).
The instructors took our picture on stage!
We rode Toy Story with an amazingly short (10 minute) line! Of course, I "let" him win!
For lunch, we headed over to the Wine Country Trattoria resturant. We'd never eaten there, but we'd heard that it was good.
We both agreed that it was the best food that we'd ever had at Disneyland and it was not more expensive that anything else. This panini was stellar!
After lunch we headed over to the main park, rode the Mattahorn and Big Thunder. The park started getting busier and people started running into us with their stupid double strollers (a whole 'nother topic for a blog), so we took to the shops looking for jackets to spend out "fun cards" on and a Christmas ornament for our tree.
We headed out of the park about 5:30, stopped at Fry's for Dave, went to Target and Hallmark, and ate dinner at Taco Bell. By the time we got home it was nine!
