Portland, Day 8 (coming home)

Wednesday morning, we packed out stuff and headed home.  We were all pretty exhausted and Andrew showed it (he slept through the dropping off the rental car, riding the shuttle to the airport, and check-in).  Getting home was pretty uneventful (much like getting there); the only excitement was that TSA had to search through our stuff because we had an 8 oz pedisure for Andrew.  On the way there, out of Long Beach, they just had to do a pat down of the parent (they did that in Oregon too).

Andrew waved bye-bye and said bye about 100 times as we boarded, taxied and took off.  It was pretty cute.
There was a group of business-looking travelers in front of us on the very full plane and I was a bit worried that we were going to bother them.  Andrew has a habit of hitting/kicking the chair in front of him so we tried to be careful.  At the end of the flight, one of the men turned around and commented on how well-behaved Andrew was during the flight.  He commented on his large vocabulary (huh?), his calm demeanor, and his ability to be relatively quiet for so long.  It was nice to hear :)
